Vow to Hire Heroes Act of 2011

By Sunlen Miller for ABCNews

After two pieces of their jobs bill failed in the Senate because Republicans unanimously opposed offsetting their cost with a tax on millionaires, Senate Democrats have picked another piece of the jobs bill without including such a tax.

Next week, Senate Democrats said, they will vote on the “Vow to Hire Heroes Act of 2011,” which would provide incentives to employers for making the hiring of veterans a priority.

Linking Talent to Opportunity -
We Provide HOPE

The Transitioning to Green Foundation, a  501(c)(3) organization, is dedicated to helping people find their place in the new world of the Green Economy.  We help people progress from where they are today to where they wish to go in their career development and in their lives.

Harvesting
Opportunities for
People and
Enterprises in the Green Economy.

We are committed to creating a more sustainable world by supporting people in transferring and enhancing their skills to build bridges between the grey, nonsustainable economy of the past, into the new emerging green economy of the 21st century. The green economy is based on sustainable triple bottom line values which simultaneously care for people, the planet, and economic/financial well being. We support people in finding meaningful work that conserves the environment while leveraging their skills and capabilities and adding sustainable value to build a more sustainable future for generations to come.

Through our programs, we provide the highest level of professional expertise and support to guide people on their journey to sustainability, through career coaching, green career assessments, training and development, and job development.
