Transitioning to Green Careers Boot Camp is an intensive six week program designed to prepare you to find a job in the growing green economy. This powerful program provides you with a comprehensive set of experiences and roadmap for you to begin building your green career.
The Transitioning to Green Careers Boot Camp is designed for job seekers at all stages in their career. One-on-One career coaching is customized to address each participant’s unique career interests and goals.
We help you find Your Green Career “Sweet Spot”
- One of the most important and thoughtful activities you can do during your career planning process is to identify your green career “sweet spot”.
- Search for the intersection of your interests, capabilities and needs with the marketplace opportunities in industry sectors, job functions and your green career value.
- We are entering an exciting time! Now is the right time to develop a targeted plan to transition your skills for employment opportunities in the new green economy.

Career Assessments
- You will take the online Transitioning to Green Career Self Assessment to identify your aspirations, interests, skills and capabilities.
- A customizedTransitioning to Green package of potential career paths and options will be linked to your specific profile.
Develop a Networking Strategy: Using Face to Face and Social Media opportunities
- You will attend professional association meetings, and be coached to speak with friends, associates and neighbors, etc.
- You will develop contacts through online social networking sources such as Linked-In, Linked-In Groups, Yahoo Groups, etc.
One-On-one Career Coaching and Job Development Agenda
- Meet with your personal career coach for five one-hour sessions.
- Define career goals: primary and secondary.
- Create a cover letter and resume, and learn valuable interviewing skills.
- Your coach will assist you with developing your job search strategy: identifying target industries and sectors, sources of job leads, developing specific job leads that meet your career goals, help connect you with contacts at specific companies with which you can network to help up interviews.

Several times a year we host a Transitioning to Green Career Workshop, which you can attend for an additional $125.
The Transitioning to Green Career Workshop will guide participants through a carefully orchestrated, step-by-step process to help you package and deliver your background, experience, skill and yes, passion in service to develop your green career action plan. You will be led by a caring and committed professional with deep experience in career transition and expertise in the emerging green economy, with the goal of helping you find success and fulfillment through securing your green job and building your green career. You will leave with greater insight into your own career strengths, how to communicate your value to others and the most effective methods of finding the position that will meet your needs.
