The Transitioning To Green Website (TTG Website) is designed to accommodate several different levels of users, user roles and services within a single integrated and interoperating technology platform. A user’s level, role and access to services are uniquely customized to the specific content and/or service areas to which they have been granted such entitlements. All users regardless of their level or role must use the services in accordance with the TTG Terms of Use and TTG Privacy Policy.

The TTG Website including any services and features available on or through the TTG Website such as the Knowledge Exchange libraries; blogs, discussion forums and messaging; live, virtual and archived events and webcasts (referred to hereinafter as the “Service”) are governed by this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) covers the TTG Website privacy practices with respect to “Personally Identifiable Information” (as further defined below) that is transmitted electronically to or collected by the TTG Website and addresses the following items:

By registering and/or subscribing as a member of the TTG Website, and/or using the TTG Website services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy as they may be amended from time to time. As we update and expand our services, this Privacy Policy may change so check back to this page from time to time. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into, and is part of, the TTG Terms of Use and governs your use of and access to the TTG Website in general.

I.                   Collection and Use

Transitioning To Green LLC does not collect any Personally Identifiable Information from you except when you expressly volunteer the information. This includes when you:

  1. Register, join as a Member, purchase or download a product or service.
  2. Request information (electronically) about TTG Website products and services, subscribe to newsletters, participate in surveys or enter a promotional contest.
  3. Use or participate in various services or features made available on the TTG Website (including, for example and without limitation, blogs, webinars and other user communities).
  4. Request contact with the TTG Website, expert contributors or representatives.
  5. Provide TTG Website administrators with comments, questions or feedback about TTG Website content, technical functionality, products and services or your general user experience.

 “Personally Identifiable Information” includes, for example, your name; home or business address; e-mail address; telephone, wireless and/or fax number; short message service or text message address or other wireless device address; instant messaging address; stakeholder affiliation; areas of interest; credit card and other payment information; employment information and work experience; demographic information and/or other information that may identify you as an individual or allow online or offline contact with you as an individual.

We will not sell, share, or rent Personally Identifiable Information other than as disclosed below in the “Sharing Personally Identifiable Information” section of this Privacy Policy. We do not sell, share with or rent to others e-mail addresses solely for the purpose of third party marketing, other than as disclosed below in the “Sharing Personally Identifiable Information” section of this Privacy Policy, but we may include third party advertisements within e-mails that we may send to you.

Among other things, we may use your Personally Identifiable Information to respond to your requests and inquiries and to provide you with the services and features offered on or through the TTG Website. We may also use your Personally Identifiable Information to communicate timely information and special offers (for example, in the form of e-mails, mailings, and the like) about products, services, companies and events, sponsored by us and others, that we think might interest you. You may choose not to receive such information by e-mailing info@transitioningtogreen.com. Please understand that if you choose not to receive promotional correspondence from us, we may still contact you in connection with your relationship, activities, transactions and communications with us.

If you register for a seminar or pay for products and services using a credit card, Personally Identifiable Information (such as your name and shipping address) and financial information (such as your credit card number and expiration date) may be required. This information may be used for billing purposes and to fill orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information may be used to get in touch with you. 

The Personally Identifiable Information you give us via the TTG Website and information about your order may be combined with other Personally Identifiable Information (such as demographic information and past purchase history) available from our records and other sources (including, without limitation, our worldwide databases). This information may be used to make our future marketing efforts more efficient and will help us to improve the operations and maintenance of the TTG Website and related businesses.

Webcasts, Online “Meetings” and Similar Services

Users may be able to access or participate in webcasts, online “meetings” or similar services through the TTG Website, certain of which may be hosted or operated by a third party service provider. In some cases, users may be able to register for such webcasts and services directly with the third party provider, and any such Personally Identifiable Information collected by the third party provider in connection with such registration and such user’s participation in the services thereafter may be shared with us, and will also be subject to this Privacy Policy. In other cases, some users may be able to access webcasts, online “meetings” or similar services hosted by a third party by registering on the TTG Website, and in such situations, any Personally Identifiable Information that may be disclosed during participation in such services would be collected by the third party host on our behalf, but would be treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

II.                Sharing Personally Identifiable Information

Transitioning To Green LLC may share Personally Identifiable Information collected electronically through its TTG Website in the following ways:

  1. Transitioning To Green LLC partners may use an outside shipping company to ship orders, and/or a credit card processing company to bill for goods and services purchased through the TTG Website, and we will share Personally Identifiable Information with those entities.
  2. From time to time, we work with business partners, service providers and sponsors to provide or promote specific products, events and services, such as jointly developed and marketed products and services. When you sign up for or use such products or services, we will share the Personally Identifiable Information necessary for the partner/sponsor to provide these products or services to you.
  3. E-mailings of the Transitioning To GreenTM newsletters and other materials, as well as various operations of the TTG Website are handled both in-house and by outside service companies (such as distribution companies, surveys and other service providers). On occasion, when we contract with a service provider, the service provider may request or it may be necessary that the provider collect and/or provide information (including Personally Identifiable Information) directly from our customers on our behalf. In all such situations, we restrict how our suppliers and other service providers may access, use and disclose Personally Identifiable Information. We do not permit these suppliers and other service providers to sell Personally Identifiable Information to third parties
  4. When you contribute to a public area or feature of the TTG Website, such as one of our online communities, libraries, blogs or other such open forums, the information that you submit will be made available to the general public. For this reason, we recommend that you exercise caution in the submission of Personally Identifiable Information to these areas of the TTG Website as it will be publicly accessible.
  5. We may disclose to third parties aggregate, non-personally identifiable data regarding user behavior, such as overall patterns or demographic reports, as a measure of interest in, and use of, the TTG Website.
  6. We may use or disclose Personally Identifiable Information in order to investigate any claim or suspicion of a violation of the TTG Website Terms of Service, to assist with law enforcement investigations, or as otherwise required by law.

Transitioning To Green LLC may transfer Personally Identifiable Information to a third party in the event of a sale of stock, merger or consolidation, or other transfer of all or a portion of the assets of Transitioning To Green LLC., whether voluntarily or by operation of law. In using the TTG Website and the various features and services made available thereon, you consent to such transfer of your Personally Identifiable Information.

III.             Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data that is stored on a visitor’s hard drive. These cookies do not identify, monitor or track any Personally Identifiable Information. Transitioning To Green LLC uses this information to analyze trends, track visitors' movements and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. If a visitor rejects the cookie, the visitor may be limited in some areas of the TTG Website. Most browsers can be set to inform you when a cookie has been sent to you and provide you with the opportunity to refuse that cookie. You should consult your browser provider to choose the appropriate setting to accept or reject cookies.

IV.             Links

The TTG Website contains links to other sites. Some links are to sites of our partners, but many are to portals or websites to which we have no affiliation. We do not share your personal information with those portals or websites and are not responsible for the content, security or privacy practices on or of such other sites. We trust that you are aware of this when you leave the TTG Website, and we encourage you to read the privacy statements of each site to which ours are linked.

This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by the TTG Website. 

V.                Security

Transitioning To Green LLC. tries hard to protect our users’ information. Our accounts are password-protected. We take industry standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alterations, disclosures or destruction of data. However, because the Internet is an open global communications vehicle, we cannot guarantee that information, during transmission through the Internet or while stored on our system or otherwise in our care, will be safe from intrusion by others, such as hackers. When possible, certain sensitive Personally Identifiable Information is encrypted and protected using SSL software. 

You are able to create an account on the TTG Website with a username and password. If you do so, you are responsible for maintaining the strict confidentiality and security of your account password, and you are responsible for any access to or use of the TTG Website through your password or account, whether or not such access or use has been authorized by or on behalf of you, and whether or not such person or entity is your employee or agent. You agree to (a) immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security and (b) ensure that you exit from your account at the end of each session. When you want to cancel your account, it is your responsibility to notify us. We will not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this provision.

In the unlikely event that we believe that the security of your Personally Identifiable Information in our possession or control may have been compromised, we may seek to notify you of that development. If a notification is appropriate, we would try to do so as promptly as possible under the circumstances, and, if we have your e-mail address, we may notify you by e-mail. You consent to our use of e-mail as a means of such notification. VI.             Correction/Updating Personal Information

If your Personally Identifiable Information changes (such as a zip code) you can modify some of the personal information you have included in your profile by logging in and accessing your account. Upon request, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete your account and the personal information in your profile; however, it may be impossible to remove your account without some residual information being retained. Registered users and members who wish to close their account should contact info@transitioningtogreen.com

VII.          Editing of Content

Registered users and members are able to add, modify and delete certain text and other content found on the TTG Website. Some areas contain editing history functionality that records and stores every change made to a webpage. All such changes are viewable by registered users, regardless of whether the changes there are additions, modifications or deletions of content and whether they are made by a registered user or a representative of the TTG Website. Thus, content that has been added to a webpage within TTG Website may permanently be accessible for viewing by our users who look at the editing history of that webpage, even if such content had been deleted after being posted. Only a TTG Website administrator can permanently delete information from the TTG Website and there is no guarantee that this will happen. Content that has been deleted can also be reinstated on the TTG Website if a registered user or TTG Website Administrator chooses to revert to such content in the editing history. Please keep all of this in mind when posting and editing information on the TTG Website.

VIII.       Use by children

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) severely restricts what information can be collected from children under the age of 13. Persons under the age of 18 in the United States are prohibited from registering for a TTG Website Account, posting or editing any content or providing any of their personal information to us or to any TTG Website user, but are otherwise permitted to access and view the information provided on the TTG Website with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly solicit information from any person under the age of 18. Should a person whom we know to be under 18 in the United States send personal information to us, we will use that information only to respond directly to that person (or a parent or guardian) to inform him or her that he or she cannot use the Service.

When we receive formal written complaints, it is our policy to contact the complaining user regarding his or her concerns. We will cooperate with the appropriate regulatory authorities, including local data protection authorities, to resolve any complaints regarding the transfer of personal data that cannot be resolved between Transitioning To Green LLC. and an individual.

X.             Terms and Modifications to This Privacy Policy

By using the TTG Website, you signify your agreement to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use these services. We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If a material change is made to this Privacy Policy and/or the way we use our users' personally identifiable information, then we will post a prominent notice of the nature of such change at the top of this Privacy Policy and also on our home page. You are responsible for reviewing this Privacy Policy periodically to ensure that you are aware of any changes to it. Your continued use of the site indicates your assent to any changes to this Privacy Policy.
